The top section below the greeting message takes a que from Android's default "At a Glance" widget, displaying the upcoming alarm and current location-based weather. 

The main section blends two concepts from widgets I really love and find incredibly useful. The first being the Google News widget to keep me updated with the latest news, and the second one being the app shortcuts I need quick access to. The news section is RSS based and can be customized at any time to change the news source. Feeling like you're seeing the same news category too many times? No problem! Just hit the refresh button and you get a different random RSS source.

During the design process It was important that the design of the widget stays consistent with Material You 3 introduced by Google in 2021. The result is reflected on the left.
